Jamie Pherous

Jamie Pherous
Managing Director and Founder

Jamie is the founder of Corporate Travel Management since its commencement in 1994, and has built the company from its headquarters in Brisbane to become the largest privately owned TMC in Australia, employing over 300 staff. Jamie previously worked for Andersens (now Ernst & Young) after completing a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and becoming a Chartered Accountant. It was the extensive international travelling with this company that Jamie saw an insight into developing Corporate Travel to new levels of diagnostics and technology to benefit customers. Corporate Travel Management has been built on a culture of betterment and service, where the customer comes first.

In recognition of the success of Corporate Travel Management as a Company, Jamie has been a finalist in the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2004 and 2005, and Corporate Travel Management is a BRW Fast 100 growing company in Australia. Jamie is a regular speaker within the industry upon corporate travel innovations and technology, and how to manage growth whilst focusing on quality delivery.

Craig Smith

Craig Smith
Director, National Contracts and Supply

Craig was drawn to travel very early on in life, spending 3 years abroad before settling into Sales and Marketing roles for multinational organisations for a period of 7 years.

Craig took the plunge and founded Travelogic in 1989, and over the following 9 years grew that enterprise into a $135M powerhouse which catered to a range of clients primarily in the Sydney market, including the very high profile Macquarie group. Craig was instrumental in the successful merger of the Travelogic business with Corporate Travel Management in 2008. He is the current President of the Association of Travel Management Companies (ATMC).

Matthew Cantelo

An entrepreneur with involvement in the travel industry for 13 years, his experience in the travel industry has seen Matt move from management roles in retail sales to developing service niches within the corporate travel and entertainment industry.

Matt became a Director of Corporate Travel Management in late 2001, and commenced our successful Sydney office in late 2003, which continues to outperform. His philosophy is simple; when dealing with corporate travellers, information must be accurate and effective, making sure that when it comes to overseas or interstate opportunities, Corporate Travel Management is helping your business make the most of them.

Matt brings to Corporate Travel Management an expertise in account management and IT and has a wealth of experience in change management.

Matt Dalling

Matt Dalling
Director & General Manager VIC

After completing a Business Degree in 1993, Matt travelled to Europe and returned home with a strong desire to start a career within the industry. In conjunction with his long time friend Matt Cantelo, Matt started a corporate agency servicing the entertainment industry due to strong connections. So the career begun. In 2001 that company merged with Corporate Travel Management and Matt was appointed to the Board. He continues to run the high growth Victorian office and various project related initiatives.

The same aspiration to offer superior service to clients by a team of capable and creative individuals continues to be Matt's driving force. And naturally that love of travel and the industry!

Lyndall McCabe

Lyndall McCabe
Director & General Manager QLD

Lyndall started with Corporate Travel Management in January of 2000 as the Finance Manager when Corporate Travel Management had two offices and a staff of 10. Late in 2003, Lyndall moved into the role of National Operations & Human Resources Manager.

Lyndall has over 11 years experience in travel, having also worked for a Travel Consolidator and in advertising. Lyndall has been pivotally responsible for the acquisitions made by Corporate Travel Management of Rhodes Corporate Travel in Melbourne, Corporate & Leisure Travel in Brisbane, and for the establishment of Corporate Travel Management’s “start-up” operation in Sydney.

Lyndall has always found the travel industry to be exciting and certainly challenging, and is very proud to be part of Corporate Travel Management’s success. Lyndall believes our staff are our most important asset, and continually strives to maintain a personal, friendly, fun environment, that is also fair and provides opportunity and flexibility. In July 2005 Lyndall’s hard work and dedication paid off, as she was made a Director and shareholder of Corporate Travel Management.

Andre Moten

Andre Moten
Director, Sales & Marketing

Andre has enjoyed a diverse background with legal and business management studies and a career in the public and private sectors. The last 13 years have been spent in senior business development positions, including Director of the Queensland State Government’s Olympic 2000 Task Force; Group Sales Manager for Queensland with Ansett Australia; and his current position with Corporate Travel Management.

As Director of the Queensland Olympic 2000 Task Force, Andre strategised for, and managed the delivery of $2 billion worth of economic impacts for Queensland from the staging of the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This business development was achieved in the tourism, generic business, major events, arts and sporting industries/sectors. Within 18 months of employment with Ansett Australia, Andre turned a $7 Million portfolio of group and conferencing air travel into a market segment valued at $19.7 Million.

In the employment of Corporate Travel Management, Andre has successfully guided the business development function from an $18M turn-over in 2001 to the company's current position. This included the development of the Business Analysis & Solutions (BAS) and Client Value Management entities and strategies to capture new market niches within the MICE, Mining, Pharmaceutical, automotive and other industries.

Claire Grey Dip TTM

Claire Gray Dip TTM
Director – Global Strategy

Claire brings 24 years of experience to the team, having began her travel career as a Travelscene consultant in 1984. Winning numerous industry awards along the way, Claire has risen through the ranks at Harvey World Travel before joining with Craig Smith to form the Travelogic and Macquarie Travel businesses. Both of these enterprises achieved exceptional growth and propelled Claire into the Globalstar alliance of international travel agencies, where Claire presently holds two senior roles as both Vice Chairman of the Asia Pacific region and Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing.

On top of a Diploma in Travel and Tourism Management, Claire undertook CEO Management Training for a three year program at the CEO Institute, and today continues to engage in ACTE courses in ‘Best in Practice Business’

Nova Fleming

National Human Resources Manager

Nova joined the CTM team in April 2007 and has implemented a vision for the HR team to support CTM in becoming the Number One Corporate Travel employer. Simple! Underpinning this vision is a three year strategic plan for the HR team. Nova joined CTM with over 15 years experience in the HR industry, with specialist and generalist experience over a range of industries, such as HR Management for the IKEA group and within the transport industry. Nova's passion lies in strategic business planning and using technology to advance business performance and the HR function itself. Nova is a firm believer that you must get a return on investment from the HR function in the business, and it is up to HR as a business until to prove this.

Nova is a certified professional of the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) and is completing her postgraduate studies in Management (Human Resources).

Sarah Kelly

National Client Value Manager

Sarah has been with Corporate Travel Management since 1999. Sarah has ultimate responsibility for client value/relationship management, and works closely with our Client Value Managers on a daily basis to ensure CTM delivers Tailored Travel Solutions.

Sarah grew up in Brisbane and upon completing her Diploma of Travel and Tourism she commenced work with Zenith Travel where she worked on various Qld Government accounts. With this experience Sarah then travelled to the UK where she worked with American Express Business Travel transacting business for accounts such as Chase Manhattan Bank, Ernst and Young, Price Waterhouse Coopers and Boeing. Sarah has over 10 years experience in corporate travel.

Paul Healy

National IT Manager

Joining Corporate Travel Management in May 2008, Paul has over 10 years experience in IT Support and Management across a diverse range of industries. After several years at Ricoh Business Centre Brisbane, Paul co-founded its' subsidiary, Digital Genius, providing IT Services and Support to well over 100 businesses in South East Queensland. Always looking for new challenges, he then ventured into the world of software development with Archive Systems, eventually taking on the role of GM. Paul helped develop the company into one of Australia's most innovative and well known Real Estate software providers.

Paul brings to Corporate Travel Management his experience in Systems Management, Networking, and Software Development, and is dedicated to providing the highest level of support to staff and clients alike. He is also focused on ensuring CTM's IT and Communication systems support the company's dynamic growth.

 

Marika Barber

Learning & Development Manager

Marika's core goal is to promote employee learning to drive organisational performance. Her professional background includes developing and implementing Learning Strategy across multiple international markets as the Australasian Training & Development Manager for British American Tobacco. In this role she was exposed to the challenges of adult learning within varying culture and learning environments while developing teams in leadership, change management and project management.

Time also spent as a Management Consultant has further exposed her to training projects spanning across a variety of industries such as Finance and Energy Utilities, which included all aspects of program design, development and delivery.

Marika has achieved a Bachelor of Business and a Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment. She holds a MBTI International Accreditation (APP).

 

Nicole Barbarich

National Incentive Manager, (Perth based)

After completing her degree at the University of Western Australia, Nicole received a Federal Government scholarship to continue her post-graduate studies at Sophia University in Tokyo. This lead to a role in International Marketing with Sony Music and Nicole was to spendfive years based in Tokyo working on large-scale recording projects and tours. It was this experience thatformedNicole's passion for Incentive and group travel.

Since returning to Australia, Nicole has built a successful career in travel with 11 years experience. Now dealing solely with the demanding and specialised requirements of incentive and group travel, Nicole is recognised as a leader in her field.

 

With a world-wide network of contacts and extensive travel experience acrosssix continents, Nicole is known for her commitment to producing incentive programs that exceed client expectations.

 

 

Shelley Leven

Operations Manager, Brisbane

 

Shelley has been with Corporate Travel Management since 2003. Originally from Northern NSW, she grew up on the land completed her tertiary education and diploma in the Travel Industry.

 

Shelley started her career in Armidale before moving to Sydney where she gained vital experience in the fast paced Sydney Corporate environment. Shelley has over 15 years experience in the industry, has travelled extensively and is well versed in both the leisure and corporate travel arenas.

 

She has been the QLD finalist in the Avis Travel Agents Scholarship of Excellence for 2004/2005 and brings to Corporate Travel Management her knowledge, professionalism and "can do" attitude.

Elizabeth Makhlouf

Operations Manager, NSW

Lizzy (Elizabeth) has 13 years of experience in the travel industry, and commenced her travel career after a six month Travel and Tourism course with the Careers English and Business College. Her story is one of dedication and hard work, where she has worked her way through several high profile Corporate Travel agencies. Lizzy joined Corporate Travel Management in April 2004, and has been an integral part of the establishment and success of the Corporate Travel Management Sydney operation.

 

Elizabeth brings to Corporate Travel Management an unrivalled dedication in the travel industry, which is infectious to her peers.

Adriana Pesavento

Operations Manager, Victoria

Adriana joined Corporate Travel Management in 2004 as a travel consultant and has realised her ambitions of leading a successful team.

Her Industry experience extends back over 8 years. Adriana took up the Victorian Operations Manager position in June 2008. In this role she oversees the overall consulting workforce productivity, quality control and customer service standards.

She ensures each team is appropriately empowered to support the business and their individual role goals. Her passions are travel, cooking and overall fitness.

 

Gemma Pascoe

Operations Manager, Gold Coast

Gemma Pascoe has worked in the Travel Industry for over 12 years, with6 years at Corporate Travel Management in our Gold Coast office. Gemma's commencement into the Travel Industry started with the completion of an Associate Diploma in Travel. She then worked forfour years at Sorrento Travel and thentwo years at Harvey World Travel Southport as an International Corporate / Retail Travel Consultant.

While working in the travel industry she has traveled to many parts of the world including Europe, Asia, Africa, the Pacific region and most Australian cities.

Gemma has been the Gold Coast's Operations Manager forthree years, and in this time she has brought to Corporate Travel Management Gold Coast a professional and positive attitude.
